I had a solid experience staying at Hera Hotel. The location was perfect with the Acropolis and other attractions nearby, which made exploring the city a breeze. The staff was friendly for the most part, though one receptionist could've been more pleasant. A nice breakfast with various options was a plus, but the old elevator could really use an upgrade.

Rooms

The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice linens, although a bit small since it’s an older hotel. I appreciated having a small balcony, but I noticed some of the pillows were on the hard side for my taste.
Service

Most of the staff were super friendly and helpful, giving great local tips. However, I did have a not-so-great interaction with one receptionist who seemed a bit sour when giving service.

I loved the location! It was just a short walk to the Acropolis and other significant spots like Plaka, which made it easy to dig into Athens' historic sites.

The breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety though not as grand as I anticipated. I liked that I could order custom egg dishes in addition to the buffet items.
Facilities

The hotel had basic amenities, but the old elevator reminded me that some updates could be beneficial. Luggage storage could also be improved for added security.

My experience at Hera Hotel was a mixed bag. while the location was fantastic and the room spacious and comfortable, my stay was marred by a serious issue regarding staff conduct that deeply disappointed me. I encountered a problem with my belongings during my stay, which was not addressed adequately by the management, leaving me frustrated. Nevertheless, the cozy atmosphere and delicious breakfast options helped soften the blow.

While the rooftop dining was under construction during my visit, the breakfast remains a highlight with a tremendous variety of options. Overall, it was a good base for exploring Athens, though just a bit noisy due to the city life.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at Hera Hotel. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Athens, and the staff were generally friendly and accommodating, which I appreciated. Overall, the hotel provided a good base for sightseeing, but I felt some communication issues needed addressing.
